Internet Classes for Seniors
Whether you are a complete computer beginner or just need a refresher course, we have the free class for you! Each class is limited to 6 students so that everyone has personal assistance with learning how to use computers and the Internet.
If you are interested in signing up for classes, please call the library at 367-3350. These October classes are a repeat of the sessions offered in Sept.
Computer Basics
Learn how to use a mouse, how to access a web site and how to move around in a web page. An overview of basic computer terminology and software programs will be provided as well. The class is meant for the very beginning computer student.
No class in Nov.
Email Basics
We will help you set up a free Google email account and discuss some of the tricks to handling email accounts such as opening or sending attachments, dealing with spam or adding your name to mailing lists. We'll give an overview of the Internet also. This is a good follow-up to the Computer Basics class.

Searching The Web
This class will show you how to conduct better internet searches. You will learn how to weed through and narrow the results of a Google search. We will compare the information available on the web with the library's paid databases.
Reviews of Netlibrary, OverDrive, Badgerlink, my del.icio.us... Basic knowledge of how to use a mouse is preferred.

Advanced Options
This class will be tailored to individual student requests. Please call Barb directly to request assistance with your specific computer needs. We'll arrange 1 hour tutoring times based on your schedule. Individual or 2-3 student tutoring sessions will be held throughout the school year, from Sept - June, as requested.
Classes can be taken individually.
